Strawberry Shortcake Poke Cake

The best summer cake!
Preheat oven to 350°F
Lightly spray a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick spray.
Prepare the cake mix - using an electric mixer, mix together the cake mix, melted butter, water, eggs and vanilla extract.
Bake according to package directions- 22-25 minutes.
With the bottom of a wooden spoon poke about 50 holes in the cake, 1 inch apart and 3/4 down into the cake without going through the bottom.
Boil 1 cup of water and dissolve the strawberry Jell-o in the water and immediately pour over the cake whiles still hot, be sure to cover the cake evenly so all the holes get some Jell-o.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hours or up to overnight.
Spread the whipped cream over the top, garnish with fresh strawberries
